Care plans and documents for the people you support

Upload care plans, risk assessments, consent forms and other documents to each person's record.

Every person you support has a Documents section on their own page, so their care plan and paperwork are kept together in one place.

  1. Go to Client directory and click View next to the person.
  2. In Documents, click + Upload.
  3. Choose what kind of document it is: Care plan, Risk assessments, Consent and agreements, Health and medical, Reviews and assessments or Other documents.
  4. Choose the files or drag them in. You can add several at once: PDF, Word, Excel, photos or text files, up to 10MB each. They're saved straight away.

Each document shows the date it was added, so when you upload a new care plan you can see which one is the latest. Click a document to open it, ⬇ to download it, or × to delete it.

Documents are stored privately. Only people who can see this person's full record can open them. That means managers and office staff with access to the client directory, care planning or client audits. Someone who only has access to incidents can't. Every upload, view and deletion is recorded in the change log.

When someone stops receiving care

When you archive a person, their documents are kept with their archived record. If you've turned on automatic deletion (Settings → Keeping and deleting records), their documents are deleted together with their record when the retention period ends.

Inspectors

If you give an inspector access to the client directory, they can open these documents but can't upload or delete anything. They can only download if you allowed downloads on their access.
